To a large extent, you’re defined by the work you
do. The Word of God truly defines you, but the Word of God must be put to work;
it must be expressed or find vent through you. If the Word of God is not
properly expressed in you work, it’s a signal that something is wrong. This is
the reason you must be excellent, diligent, and ensure nothing but perfection
in what you do. Your work is where you express all the skills and potentials
that you’ve invested or built into you. Choose to be successful in God’s eyes
primarily and definitely with respect to your work.
As a Christian, God demands nothing short of
excellence and perfection from you. That God demands perfection from you shows
that He has given you an excellent spirit, and the ability to do things
perfectly. Shun and avoid mundanity from your work and character. Never allow
anyone cheat you out of God’s best by telling you “No one is perfect”; God’s
Word says to be perfect, that is, to do things perfectly, to thoroughly
restore, mend, frame or complete an endeavour by paying attention to details.
Choose to do the Word. Inspire those around you by the excellence and
perfection with which you do what you do!
